mb376 picture

This board was designed primarily for silicon validation. As such the chip is socketed, and there is a large number of connectors to enable all the features of the chip to be used.

Board name STi5528 Eval board
Board Id mb376
Chip sti5528
Target CPU ST40-103
Memory 128Mb
Flash 16Mb
STEM connector Yes
On board EthernetNo

Hardware Setup

Serial ports

Front Panel Schematic name Type Chip name Device Cable type for console
RS232 ASC0 CN37 (bottom) ASC ASC3 /dev/ttyAS0 Special cable
RS232 ASC1 CN37 (top) ASC ASC4 /dev/ttyAS1 Special cable
RS232 SCIF0 CN38 (top) SCIF SCIF1 /dev/ttySC0 Null modem
RS232 SCIF1 CN38 (bottom) SCIF SCIF2 /dev/ttySC1 Null modem

To use the ASC ports it is necessary to construct a special cable, as RX and TX are the wrong way round for the gender of the connector.
