Monitoring the target

The easiest way to monitor the behavior of the target Linux system, and to develop applications for it, is to run an interactive shell on the target. This allows commands to be run and the results observed. There are several ways to do this, depending on the connectivity to the target system, see:

• Connecting through the serial port and

• Connecting through the network.
