Testing the customizations

Once the customizations described in the previous section have been made, the target system should be booted using the modified directory as its root file system. Tests for each customization are given in the following sections:

• Testing DNS,

• Testing NIS,

• Testing the date and time,

• Testing logging in via SSH without a password,

• Testing Control-C on default console,

• Testing timezone information.
