STLinux distribution 1.0

(Added 21st Feb 2005)
The latest release of Linux 1.0 is 1.0_pl2, available from /pub/linuxsh/release-1.0_pl2 This is available in several forms:

  • As individually packaged RPMS: see the directories release-1.0_pl2-install for binary packages, and release-1.0_pl2-source for the corresponding source packages.
  • It is also possible to download the entire distribution as a couple of CD images, which can be written straight to CD (using, for example, cdrecord under Linux, or Adaptec (now Roxio) EasyCD Creator under Windows).
  • Updates which have been made after the release, are available individually from the /pub/linuxsh/release-1.0_pl2/updates directory. These tend to build up over time, so it is a good idea to check here first before downloading something from the release directories.

The 1.0_pl1 release is still available from /pub/linuxsh/release-1.0_pl1, and updates are available from the /pub/linuxsh/release-1.0_pl1/updates directory.

The 1.0 release is still available from /pub/linuxsh/release-1.0, and updates are available from the /pub/linuxsh/release-1.0/updates directory.

The Beta release of 1.0 is still available from /pub/linuxsh/release-1.0beta, and updates are available from the /pub/linuxsh/release-1.0beta/updates directory.

The previous release (0.4) is still available from /pub/linuxsh/release-0.4. Updates which have been made after the release, are available individually from the /pub/linuxsh/release-0.4/updates directory.

MontaVista Logo Documentation from the MontaVista HardHat distribution version 1.2 (upon which the 0.4 ST distribution is based) is also available in the directory /pub/linuxsh/release-0.4/docs.
