This page describes the main support procedures for STLinux.
While STLinux is offered free-of-charge to all users and can be freely downloaded in both source and binary forms from the STLinux website, we are willing to provide some support to users attempting to build systems based on STLinux, providing they are using the distribution on a platform based on an ST chip. Of course, our major focus is to support significant customers of ST, but our support channels are open to all.
The first port of call for support is this website, which contains extensive documentation of the STLinux distribution, FAQ list, etc. Please look through the information presented here to try to locate an answer to your query initially. If this fails, then in order to interact with the available support personnel for STLinux, the primary and preferred interface is the Bugzilla defect tracking system. We maintain a Bugzilla based support database which records support requests and their resolutions over the list time of STLinux. In order to request support, simply create a Bugzilla account for yourself, based on your email address, and use it to create a new record (a bug report) within the database. This will be responded to by our dedicated support team. There are also subscribable email lists for support communications and a series of ftp servers, which can be used to exchange large data files; too big to be handled as attachments to Bugzilla records (>10MiB).
